Profiel Kees Jans
Introduction
Kees Jans is a digital leader with extensive (> 35 years) senior IT management experience in multiple industries (Aviation, Retail, Production).
In 2020 Kees started as an independent consultant helping companies in various roles (Advisory, Quality Assurance and Risk Management in strategic projects, management coaching) to improve and/or accelerate the digitalisation of their processes.
Professional experience
Kees Jans has a broad experience in Information Technology. From 1988 till 2014 he held various IT positions at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and was the Chief Information Officer of Schiphol Group from 2002 till 2014. In 2014 he joined Wehkamp BV (one of the largest e-commerce organizations of the Netherlands) as IT-Director. In 2016 he was appointed as a member of the Transformation Team that was responsible for the Digital Transformation of Wehkamp.
In 2020 Kees started as an independent consultant helping companies (amongst others PON, MPO, 247TailorSteel, Freeday, Topdesk and Wehkamp) with various IT related activities like Advisory, Quality- and Risk Management, Interim management and is a member of the Supervisory Board of Multi Tank card (managing fuel/charge transactions of 1 million+ lease cars).

After his initial education in Electronics Kees followed a HBO IT (AMBI) study.
During his professional career Kees has followed many Technology, Management and personal development courses.
He was elected CIO of the Year in 2006 as a result of his leadership in driving innovations.

Kees likes to help teams and individuals to improve by sharing his experience and observations in a direct and respectful way. The appreciation for his role as a valued sparring partner for board members and senior managers gives Kees great satisfaction.
In addition to his business activities Kees enjoys golf, running, traveling, Home Automation and DIY jobs.
