Introduction
Corné Mulders is an experienced CIO/CDO and a Digital Transformation leader. Has a passion for making life of clients and employees easier by digitization . Results-oriented, but always together with a team. Strong entrepreneurial “can do” attitude.
Corné has multi-industry experience working in consultancy, banking industry (NL and abroad) and healthcare. He is co-founder and chairman of the Dutch IT Circle, a community of the IT staff of 60 profit- and non-profit organizations in NL sharing experiences to grow (IT) knowledge and leadership
Corné was nominated CIO of the year in 2020 for digitization of UMC Utrecht during the Covid period
Professional experience
Corné is currently interim CIO of the Haga hospital in The Hague and has previously performed that role for UMC Utrecht, Antonius Nieuwegein and Catharina Eindhoven.
Before he has worked 20 years as Executive Vice President at ABN AMRO Bank, with as roles :
• CIO NL responsible for approx. 1000 staff in NL and approx. 3000 in India. Key achievements include the integration of Fortis and ABN AMRO systems and organizations in the Netherlands without any disturbance in service to clients. Besides the launch of the ABN AMRO “mobiel bankieren” app and new websites
• Head of Fortis Real Estate and Facility Mgt Benelux
• Head of Integration
• MD Facility Mgt ABN AMRO
• MD Transaction Services with a focus on automating payment services
Next to his regular roles, Corné has held additional responsibilities such as:
* Member of the supervisory board of Stater
* Member of the advisory board of HBO-Informatics
* Chairman and co-founder of children hockey field club Keramikos Naarden
* Ad hoc advisor for several start-ups and coach for leaders that are open to a significant career change

Corné is passionate about helping organizations and their staff make the most out of digitization. Is convinced that a fast and cost-efficient way of innovation is to copy best practices from other industries. He is energetic, sensitive and has excellent leadership and communication skills. Teamwork is essential for him.
